  • Plaza Blanca, NM

    North of Los Alamos is an area named Plaza Blanca, made famous by a Georgia O’Keeffe painting. More recently it was also the location of the alien ship in Cowboys and Aliens. I joined the Santa Fe Photographers Group on their second outing there this year.

    These tuffs are compressed volcanic ash that have been whittled away by the wind.

  • Cuervo, NM – abandoned city

    On my first outing with the Santa Fe Photographers Group, we drove out to Cuervo, NM – an abandoned city off Interstate 40.

    Got up at 4:45am to drive to ABQ for my first Balloon Fiesta. It. Was. Awesome. It’s going on all week and I just might head back for more pictures.
