  • Walking into work like…

    I was just trying to take a picture of this tree on my way into work and all of a sudden this crow swooped in.

  • Reprocessing Old Pictures

    For a little over a year now, I’ve been going through old hard drives and reprocessing old pictures. I’ve been doing it to archive them and get rid of the old raw files as they have taken up a lot of space and thus, a lot of hard drives. It’s been wild to revisit the past and see the difference in photographic skills from then compared to now.

    Here’s a set from a trip to Oregon from 2006 that I took with the wife. We were traveling to see Pearl Jam at The Gorge Amphitheater.

  • Cranes and the Full Moon

    Last week, the full moon was rising while it was still daylight so I made my way down to the Ladd S. Gordon Waterfowl Complex to see if there were any sandhill cranes. My hope was to capture them with the full moon in the background.

    I did.

    And I was happy.

    I can’t wait to return and get more shots of cranes and other birds. Click an image to expand it.

  • Los Alamos in Clouds

    From March of 2022. I pulled over to the side of the road (NM502) to capture a picture of the Jemez Mountains, the Pajarito Plateau, and some low lying clouds. It’s a reminder to me of how much the landscape has shaped our little town and of how, on occasion, the mundane can become magnificent. Click the image to expand.
