  • Sunset in X-Pan

I am finding that the more I shoot landscapes, the more I think and visualize in the X-Pan ratio. The X-Pan is a film camera that takes a picture across two 35mm frames for a really wide picture, almost like widescreen films. I like this way of framing because it gives me the ability to put some context into my shots; meaning my subject is surrounded by more visual cues that add significance to the shot.

  • Throwback Thursday – Anti-Bush Rally 2007

More pics from the archive. This was an anti-Bush/anti-war rally in Hollywood back in 2007. Shot with a Canon 20D, my first dslr, and a Tamron 28-105 f2.8 and a Canon 70-200 f4. You can see the original pictures I posted here for comparison.

Going out to take pictures at rallies was something I did a lot of back then. It was a thrill to be out among like minded folks, using my camera to document the event. I’m glad I’ve kept up with it after all these years.
